Call for Nominations 2021

Humboldt-Universität’s award for excellence in teaching is an annual, thematically focused award. In the academic year 2021 it will be awarded on the topic of "Digitally supported teaching concepts". For this year's Award for Good Teaching, teachers and teaching concepts are being sought who have succeeded in an outstanding way in digitally supporting and securing the return to face-to-face teaching.

Nominations

All formats in which face-to-face teaching is enriched and supported by digital offers can be nominated. These could be, for example:

  • Blended learning approaches that expand and enrich the exchange in classroom teaching with well-structured digital offers (materials, tasks, group work).
  • Hybrid approaches that succeed in engaging students on site and in the digital space, or allow students to choose between participation in presence or online.
  • Concepts that successfully use digital tools to improve exchange and collaboration in the course.
  • Concepts that enable students to successfully master the transition between online and face-to-face participation (e.B. through digital learning spaces and/or streaming lectures).
  • Formats which, in addition to gaining subject knowledge, helped students to expand their digital competencies.

Can you think of courses from the winter semester 20/21, the summer semester 2021 or the current winter semester 2021/22 in which the potential of digitally supported teaching has been used particularly successfully? Then nominate them until February 2, 2022 for the Humboldt-Universität award for excellence in teaching and learning (you can submit more than one nomination).

All members of Humboldt-Universität can nominate other members of the university via our online nominations form. The deadline for nominations is 02.02.2021. Only teaching staff with a link to an academic unit at Humboldt-Universität are eligible to receive the award. This includes professors, teaching and research staff, lecturers, lectors and student tutors. You can nominate both individual members of staff or teaching teams, as well as entire departments or academic units. We would ask you to refrain from self-nominations. Further information can be found under Procedure& Jury.
